A low-pressure system from the west is expected to bring some rain and snow over the weekend to critically dry Southern California.The storm is expected to hit the coast late Saturday through Monday, with most of the precipitation west and south of the Victor Valley, according to the National Weather Service.Saturday night and Sunday are the days expected to receive the most snow and rain, weather experts said. Most areas will receive anywhere from a tenth to half an inch of rain, with 2 to 5 inches of snow above 5,000 feet....
A low-pressure system from the west is expected to bring some rain and snow over the weekend to critically dry Southern California.
The storm is expected to hit the coast late Saturday through Monday, with most of the precipitation west and south of the Victor Valley, according to the National Weather Service.
Saturday night and Sunday are the days expected to receive the most snow and rain, weather experts said. Most areas will receive anywhere from a tenth to half an inch of rain, with 2 to 5 inches of snow above 5,000 feet.
Occasional and possibly heavy bursts of snowfall might occur around the 3,000 foot level, according to Big Bear-based meteorologist Ben Brissey.
“Accumulations will be highly variable due to the spotty, unstable nature of this system, but travelers should be prepared for winter weather driving conditions,” Brissey stated.
Temperatures over the weekend will range from 29 to 56 degrees in places like Apple Valley, Adelanto, Barstow, Hesperia and Victorville.
Temperatures in Big Bear will range from 24 to 41 degrees, with Wrightwood experiencing temperatures from 25 to 42 degrees.

First responder agencies are preparing for possible flooding and mudslides along wildfire burn areas.
On Wednesday morning, the Hughes Fire erupted along Lake Hughes Road, near Castaic Lake and Interstate 5.
By Thursday afternoon, the Hughes Fire had exploded to 10,176 acres with 24% containment in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, according to Cal Fire.

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – Heather ‘Razzlekhan’ Morgan, a California native, has been convicted for her involvement in one of the largest financial seizures in U.S. history. She is currently serving an 18-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Victorville Women’s Camp.
Morgan, along with her husband, Ilya ‘Dutch’ Lichtenstein, was implicated in the theft of 119,000 bitcoins from the Bitfinex exchange in 2016. At the time of the theft, the bitcoins were valued at approximately $70 million.
However, by the time of their arrest, the value of the stolen bitcoins had skyrocketed to over $4.5 billion, with their current worth exceeding $10 billion due to the surge in cryptocurrency values.
Lichtenstein later confessed to being the hacker responsible for the cyberattack, while Morgan pleaded guilty to two money laundering conspiracy charges and conspiring to defraud the U.S. government.
According to the Department of Justice (DOJ), the couple used sophisticated money laundering techniques to conceal their actions. These included converting the stolen bitcoin into other cryptocurrencies and using fake identities to set up accounts on darknet markets and exchanges.
The DOJ’s investigation ultimately led to the historic seizure of the stolen funds.
Lichtenstein was sentenced to five years in prison, while Morgan, known for her social media presence and rap career, began serving her 18-month sentence at Victorville on February 4, 2025.
Morgan’s case recently gained renewed attention with the release of the Netflix documentary Biggest Heist Ever, which premiered in December 2024. Directed by Chris Smith, the film delves into the bizarre story of Morgan and Lichtenstein’s heist. However, Morgan has expressed dissatisfaction with her portrayal in the documentary.
In late December 2024, Morgan took to her YouTube channel to address the ongoing media coverage surrounding the heist. In the video, she pushed back against what she described as “misconceptions” and stated that the portrayal of her role was unfair and inaccurate.
In January, her attorneys sent cease-and-desist letters to Netflix and the documentary’s creators, claiming that her depiction in the film was misleading and defamatory.
Despite her public defense, Morgan will continue to serve her 18-month sentence at FCI Victorville.
